Mid-Year Check In: Rants & Rumours: Predictions For 2021 WWE

To start the year I dropped some predictions at this link:

I figured since we’re over half way, I’d check in and see how they’re going.. some good, some bad, sone still have a chance… I think?

Let’s break it all down!

Correct:

• Women’s Royal Rumble: Bianca Belair
• Men’s Money In The Bank: Big E
• Wrestlemania weekend will include a bigger Hall of Fame ceremony this year so last years planned inductees can have their moment & give speeches
• NXT will move to a night other than Wednesday night.
• NXT Call Ups: Shotzi Blackheart, Rhea Ripley, Karrion Kross & Finn Balor moves back to main roster

Wrong:

• Men’s Royal Rumble: Brock Lesnar
• Women’s Money In The Bank: Charlotte Flair
• Wrestlemania 37 Main Event: Roman Reigns (c) vs Bill Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship
• WWE Tag Team Champions (Raw) to close year: Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake
• WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to close year: Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott
• NXT Cruiserweight Champion to close year: Curt Stalion
• NXT Tag Team Champions to close year: Ever Rise
• NXT Call Ups: Undisputed Era

There’s a chance?:

• Cesaro will be in new tag team with another partner that holds tag titles at some point in 2021
• Chad Gable with get a short run with a single title that isn’t the 24/7 championship
• Randy Orton will get to 17 world title runs, being tied with John Cena & Ric Flar
• AJ Styles will not hold any singles WWE titles in 2021

More wrong than right! A lot of my “champions to close the year” predictions are either looking outright bad (and are in need of a draft shake-up) or people straight up just aren’t with the company anymore, which in that case I’ve deemed them to be wrong. I’m also not feeling great about Randal getting to #17, but we’ll see what the tail end of 2021 gives us.
